Workshop Mechanic - Job Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Workshop Mechanic, to be based in our purpose-built facility in Malaga, for our Rig Systems Services (RSS) operations, which is a sub-product line of Tubular Running Services (TRS). Your role will be to perform mechanical repair, overhaul and commissioning of all Weatherford TRS mechanised equipment to the Global TRS work instruction requirements. Assist in preparing for load-out, inspect, clean and refurbish equipment for future use, as well as ensuring that a safe and efficient environment is maintained.

Other key areas of responsibility include:

Assist in scheduling workshop activities to maximize efficiency, including:

1. prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance of specialized equipment

2. Implement specialized equipment spare part inventory

3. Maintain good standard of housekeeping practices in workshop and yard

4. Implement and maintain specialized equipment servicing procedures

Provide assistance to the Technical Support Team in regards to implementation and operational support in the areas of, but not limited to:

· Stabberless Systems

· Deepwater Handling Systems

· Drill Pipe Tongs

· Remote Locations Bucking Units

· Mechanized Tubular Handling Systems

· Mechanized Training

· Rig Surveys

Where applicable, supervise offshore personnel in the workshop, including:

· Specialized Equipment Operations

Assisting with employee supervision and coordinating training of Specialized Rig Systems;

Assist with customer enquiries as required;

Assist in generating monthly reports with the RSS coordinator

To be successful you will ideally have the following skills and experience;

· Trade qualified (Mechanical or Electronic)

· Strong hydraulic and electronic fault finding ability;

· Ability to influence people at all levels within the organisation;

· QHSSE Theoretical and Practical knowledge;

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· Demonstrated procedural knowledge and operational competency;

· Excellent management skills and interpersonal skills;

· Excellent IT competence;

· Sound organisation and time management skills; and

· Oilfield services experience preferred
