Update: Ron "Scrubby" Dyne

G’Day Everyone.

I’m writing to provide an update of Ron Dyne’s condition.  First, have a read of this recent article from the local paper concerning Scrubby: http://www.frasercoastchronicle.com.au/news/down-but-not-out-dynes-greatest-test/2458916/">http://www.frasercoastchronicle.com.au/news/down-but-not-out-dynes-greatest-test/2458916/

Request for Volunteers to Support Indigenous Pre-Recruitment Course

As many of you would be aware, the Directorate of Indigenous Affairs (DIA) runs a number of pathway programs which seek to increase Indigenous participation in the ADF.  DIA will be running one of its flagship pathway programs, the Indigenous Pre-recruitment Course (IPRC), from HMAS Cerberus over the period 16 Feb to 27 Mar 2015.  The IPRC is a six week course aimed at providing young Indigenous adult candidates with the appropriate skills, knowledge and qualifications to compete for, and win, full time service in the ADF. The intent of the IPRC is to rectify participants’ identified skill deficiencies. The IPRC is tri-service in nature.

Operation Bring Them Home

Hi All,

I am heading up a Project on behalf of the VVAA called Operation “Bring Them Home” whereby we are attempting to bring the remaining Veitnam Veterans buried outside of Australia home. Providing their NOK allow us.

Could you please send out the attached letter to all 17 Construction Wksp and any other mailing lists you might have to garner their support.

We are attempting to gain 1 million signatures as we believe that people power is the only way forward, having been knocked back by Ronaldson 12 months ago.
